Wheel Alignment Tool Aluminium & Steel

Measuring up half way on the wheel rim towards the rear of the car place the wheel alignment tool against the rim as shown on picture 2 making sure it's it's on the inside of the lip.

Take a measurement by tightening the knob and taking note of the measurement in mm. Following the same instructions do the same on the wheel rim half way up the rim towards the front of the car.

And take note of the measurement in mm again and if there's a difference between the two then your wheel alignment is off. Bearing in mind that there is generally tolerance of 0mm to 3mm which would be normal.
